Exhale Residences

An award-winning condominium that brings a more intimate residential scale to Mississauga’s evolving Lakeshore corridor.

Located at 1381 Lakeshore Road East, Exhale Residences is an 11-storey condominium community comprising 280 homes near Lake Ontario, Lakeshore Park, and Marie Curtis Park.

The challenge was to accommodate a substantial residential program while maintaining the character and scale of a boutique mid-rise building. Architecture Unfolded responded with a four-storey podium that establishes a strong presence along Lakeshore Road, with the upper levels set back to reduce the building’s visual scale. Ivory masonry, glazing, and carefully articulated façades give the development a contemporary but welcoming identity.

Ground-floor uses help animate the street, while landscaped terraces and indoor and outdoor amenity spaces create opportunities for fitness, relaxation, and social connection. The building’s location also connects residents to nearby parks, waterfront trails, transit, and community amenities.

Exhale Residences received the 2025 BILD People’s Choice Award, recognizing the project’s design and contribution to the community.
